Systems Engineer, Midwest

As a Veeam Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to help customers advance, protect and manage their virtual environments. While learning about your customer’s environment and utilizing your breadth of technical skills and depth of virtual technologies you will empower the sales campaign by demonstrating to the customer Veeam’ s technical dominance and fit into their technical and business environment. Candidates from St. Louis, Kansas City, MO and Minneapolis, MN will be considered. This is a technical Pre-Sales role based in the Midwest with travel to MN, IA, MO, AR, KS and OK.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Five or more years of technology experience
•VMware VCP or willing to pursue certification
•Excellent communication and presenting skills
EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
•A breadth of experience with core technologies including Storage, Networking, Servers, and applications with a depth of experience in VMware Virtual technologies and Microsoft Windows Server.
•Experience with databases and management platforms such as HP Openview and Microsoft System Center Operation Manager is also desirable.
•Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Be comfortable presenting to groups, both on the phone and in person.
•Be a self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
•Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly.
•Must be able to travel significantly within the assigned region.
•A desire to become the customer’s trusted advisor and to present entire technology solutions that compliment, drive and advance the customer’s technology environments and business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam software.
•Team with Veeam’s partners to provide training, product demonstrations and lead customer meetings.
•Build relationships with customers and partners.
•Assist sales to help secure and qualify new Veeam partners.
•Working closely with the Veeam development team by providing customer feedback and your ideas.
•Empower and assist customers while they evaluate Veeam’s product offerings.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY
This position reports to the Manager, Systems Engineering.
