Veeam Software is an international company with U.S. headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio and R&D headquarters in St. Petersburg, Russia. The company was founded in 2006 by Ratmir Timashev and Andrei Baronov, the team behind Aelita Software, well known for its award-winning Windows Server management solutions. Aelita was acquired by Quest Software in 2004, and Timashev and Baronov turned their attention to newer, emerging technologies.

Veeam Software is the culmination of this successful team’s past experiences – technical and business ventures, Russian and American innovation – moving forward into the world of virtual server management.
