Veeam Backup & Replication licensing
Veeam Backup & Replication is licensed per socket for each managed server, which is defined as a VMware ESX Server that is monitored, collected data from or otherwise managed by the Veeam software product. "Socket" means a single, physical chip that houses no more than six (6) processor cores. Please note that you must license Veeam Backup & Replication for every socket in your environment that is managed by the product.
| Example: | If you have 2 ESX hosts (2 DualCore CPUs each) and you want to replicate VMs from one to another, you will need: 2 ESX hosts * 2 sockets = 4 Veeam Backup licenses. |
