This third edition of Veeam Annual Virtualization Data Protection Report 2013 shows that capability, complexity and cost issues with the backup tools are hampering IT departments.

The independent survey of 500 CIOs conducted in November 2012 across USA and Europe found that enterprises (organizations with more than 1000 employees) are still not experiencing the full benefits that virtualization offers and the advances modern data protection tools can provide. Indeed, in a number of areas enterprises’ data protection capabilities have actually diminished since the last report in late 2011.
