Sometimes, the coolest things being done with the Veeam Availability Platform don’t start with us — they start with our partners and service providers. It’s been exciting to see how some really clever folks are leveraging the open APIs and the workflow/orchestration mechanisms to deliver innovative solutions that are truly “powered by Veeam” such as:
- A service provider that ensures that all hosted VMs in their environment are protected by Veeam does so by completely integrating the protection provisioning and the ongoing monitoring into their management frameworks, without ever opening a Veeam management UI.
- A channel partner that focusses on migrating to the cloud as part of their Digital Transformation consultancy practice uses Veeam’s backups as their “final on-prem copy,” then replication and workflows for a controlled migration to IaaS-hosting, all in a scripted-for-consistent-repeatability process.
- One engineer loved the capabilities of Veeam Backup for Office 365 but didn’t want the Windows-based UI, so they rebuilt and then adapted it in HTML5 by themselves. How did you spend your Saturday?
At VeeamON 2018, we’ll be celebrating some of these innovative solutions, so please let us know how you’ve built upon the Veeam Availability Platform. Nominations can be made from March 29 to April 30, with the winners being recognized during the VeeamON main stage keynote. Self nominations or those from partners, providers, or Veeam field-team members are encouraged — click here to nominate for a Veeam Innovation Award.
See you in Chicago!
