You may also see the following errors/information in the VeeamDCS logs (default path: C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Veeam Monitor for VMware):
Inform 0x0534 YourVCName "Opening URL 'https://YourVCName:443/client/clients.xml'"
Error 0x0534 YourVCName "Unable to load/parse clients.xml: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."
Error 0x0534 YourVCName "XML Content: (null)"
Error 0x0534 YourVCName "Collecting thread has failed to initialize (The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.) and will be stopped"
SSL certificate from VMware was added to the Veeam Monitor server incorrectly, or SSL certificate expired.
On the Veeam Monitor server, open the following link using your Internet browser:
Save the SSL certificate information (through the web browser).
Alternatively, you can install vSphere Client to the same server on which the Veeam Monitor server is installed. Then use the vSphere Client to connect to the ESX host you are trying to add to Veeam Monitor. Apply the certificate during the vSphere host connection process.
Please make sure you have ENABLED the Install this certificate and do not display any security warnings for "your_host" option.
