Stop nworks Virtual Infrastructure Collector Service and nworks abyss web service. Disable nworks abyss web service (this is an old service that does not get removed during cleanup).
Uninstall 2 software applications:
2.1. First, uninstall the nWorks Virtual Infrastructure Collector software.
2.2. Second, uninstall the nworks VIC Configuration software.
Reboot the collector server.
Remove old CODA files manually from the C:\ProgramFiles\HP\HP BTO Software\DataDir\Datafiles\ directory (HP Directory > default directory).
4.1. Alternatively, you can use hptool.exe to automatically remove CODA files after upgrading the collector. For details, see step 5.1.
Install new nworksVIC.exe software with proper settings.
5.1. If you have not deleted CODA files manually, run hptool.exe located in the collector installation directory (the default installation directory is C:\Program files\nworks\VIC\Collector) and execute the Remove Schemas and Data command.
Run hptool.exe located in the collector installation directory (the default installation directory is C:\Program files\nworks\VIC\Collector) and execute the Compile Specification files command.
Confirm that the collector is recognized in the list of available collectors in the nworks Enterprise Manager Web UI.
