Setup fails with "Exception occurred. Info: System.Runtime.InteropService.COMException (0x80070422)"


Veeam ONE setup fails after you click Install Veeam ONE Server or Install Veeam ONE Client on the splash screen. The following error occurs:

Exception occurred. Info: System.Runtime.InteropService.COMException (0x80070422): The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Windows Management Instrumentation service is stopped and disabled.


Set startup type for Windows Management Instrumentation service to Automatic or Manual and start the service.
