Error “Please install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package and try again.” when attempting to install Veeam Backup & Replication Cloud Edition

Challenge

When attempting to install Veeam Backup & Replication Cloud Edition application you receive a message saying “Please install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package and try again.”, even though you may already have it installed.

Solution

Veeam Backup & Replication will install the C++ 2010 package automatically; though if you install the X64 version and then try to install Cloud Edition, you will get this error.

To resolve this issue, you will need to download and install the X86 (32Bit) version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package from Microsoft’s website. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328
