What is VeeamON?

Veeamon is Veeam’s® global user and partner conference. Attending Veeamon is a way to Elevate Your Cloud Data Strategy on your journey to the cloud. Now in its sixth year, this annual experience convenes the biggest players in the industry for two days of education, inspiration and celebration.

Who attends VeeamON?

Veeam’s ecosystem consists of more than 2,000 community members, comprised of IT leaders and visionaries, tech trainers and cloud data experts. From IT managers to C-suite, you will find a diverse attendee base to engage with and to help you accelerate your Cloud Data Management™ strategy.

Where will Veeamon 2020 take place?

Veeamon 2020 will take place at the ARIA Resort & Casino conference center at 3730 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89158.

When is Veeamon 2020?

Veeamon 2020 will take place May 4-6, 2020. the first scheduled event on May 4 is the welcome reception (6-9 p.m.). the last scheduled event on May 6 is the Veeamon Party.

When will VMCE add-on trainings take place?

Trainings will take place from May 2-4, 2020. You can learn more about the training schedule by visiting the Agenda page.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Veeamon 2020 attendees should be 21 years of age or older. Please have a government-issued ID available at registration check-in to verify your identity. After check-in, you will only be asked to verify your age and identity when entering the Veeamon Party on Wednesday, May 6 at Drai’s Nightclub. Other conference events will only require you to wear your conference badge for identification.

Will there be a mobile app for the event?

Yes, a mobile app for Veeamon 2020 will be available in April 2020. All registrants will be notified when the app is live.

Registration

What are the different registration options?

Veeamon 2020 offers full conference passes for the duration of the conference from May 4-6 that can be purchased before the event and on site. Veeamon 2020 does not offer day passes for purchase.

What is included in a full conference pass?

Veeamon 2020 full conference registration includes all published breakout sessions, general sessions, conference meals and evening events. Please refer to the agenda for details. Please also note that VMCE training at Veeamon 2020 can only be purchased as an add-on to the full conference registration.

Are there day or Exhibit Hall passes available for purchase?

No, the Exhibit Hall can only be accessed by registering for a full conference pass. Day passes are not available for purchase and attendees must have a full conference pass for entrance to the Exhibit Hall.

Where can I register?

All registrations must be submitted through the Veeamon 2020 registration portal. Want to join us last minute? You can purchase conference passes on site starting May 4 at the registration desk during the hours of noon to 9 p.m.

What payment methods are accepted?

When registering through Veeamon 2020 registration portal, credit cards are the only accepted method of payment. If your company requires a PO, you can purchase a Veeamon 2020 registration or VMCE training SKU through your usual Veeam distributor. After purchasing a Veeamon 2020 SKU, you will be sent a redemption code to use in the Veeamon 2020 online registration portal.

How can I purchase multiple passes for my group?

Veeamon 2020 registration passes can only be purchased individually through the Veeamon 2020 registration portal. Registrations can be purchased in bulk via a PO, but those pre-paid registrations will still have to be redeemed individually through the Veeamon 2020 registration portal.

Will I receive a registration confirmation?

Shortly after submitting your registration for Veeamon 2020, you will receive a confirmation email from VeeamON@meetingadvice.com. Please save this email as it contains important information pertaining to your conference registration and will provide you the opportunity to access session recordings and materials after Veeamon 2020.

How can I get a receipt for my transaction?

If you require a detailed receipt for your purchase, please email VeeamON@meetingadvice.com to request one.

Can I update my registration information?

to update your registration, please return to the registration portal and from the “Home” page, select “Already Registered.” You will need to enter your confirmation number and email used for registration to access your registration. Then, select MODIFY from your personal confirmation page.

Do I have to bring my printed confirmation to Veeamon 2020?

Veeamon 2020 full conference registration includes all published breakout sessions, general sessions, conference meals and evening events. Please refer to the agenda for details. Please also note that VMCE training at Veeamon 2020 can only be purchased as an add-on to the full conference registration.

Where is registration located?

On-site registration check-in will be located at the entrance to the ARIA conference center. Specific details, including a map of the space, will be provided closer to the event start date.

When will registration be open*?

Monday, May 4: Noon to 9 p.m.
Tuesday, May 5: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 6: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, your registration (including any VMCE training add-ons) is eligible for transfer to another individual until April 20, 2020.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • Conference cancellations received before March 4, 2020 are eligible for a full refund.
  • Conference cancellations received from March 4 through April 4, 2020 will receive a 50% refund, less a $50 refund processing fee.
  • No refunds will be granted after April 4, 2020. However, registration may be transferred to another individual until April 20, 2020.
  • No refunds will be granted for VMCE course registrations after March 20, 2020.

VMCE training

Is training included in the full conference pass?

No, VMCE trainings at Veeamon 2020 are available as an add-on to the full conference pass. You can add a VMCE training to your conference registration during the registration process.

Am I required to purchase a full conference pass to attend VMCE training at Veeamon 2020?

Yes, the training courses at Veeamon 2020 are only available as an add-on to a full conference pass.

If you have received a complimentary conference pass (from a partner, through a sponsorship, etc.), you can still add VMCE training to this complimentary pass during the registration process. in this case, you will only be charged for the training, not the conference pass.

Where does the training take place?

the VMCE training courses will all take place at the ARIA Resort & Casino convention center prior to the start of the Veeamon 2020 conference. Details on training rooms will be provided to VMCE training registrants one or two weeks prior to the trainings.

What language(s) are the classes offered in?

VMCE trainings are offered in English. This year, Veeam also will offer VMCE training in Spanish with limited seats. the course materials are in English, but the course will be instructed in Spanish. Please look for this option during registration. Seats are limited, and the Spanish course offerings will close upon capacity.

Who are the instructors?

VMCE instructors are certified VMCE trainers. Most are Veeam employees, but others are third-party trainers. VMCE training registrants will not be informed of their trainers prior to arriving on site for training. Each training classroom will have a facilitator (usually a Veeam SE) in addition to the VMCE trainer.

What trainings are offered at Veeamon 2020?

VMCE_v10:the VMCE course is an intensive, instructor‑led, three‑day, technical deep dive that provides extensive information on Veeam solutions. the VMCE certification is documented proof that an engineer possesses the necessary level of expertise to correctly deploy, configure and administrate Veeam Availability Suite™. It is a great investment for Veeam customers looking to increase productivity, reduce operating costs and shorten deployment time. Extended training hours may be required to condense training into only three days.

VMCE_ADO: This two‑day instructor‑led class is a deep technical course that teaches you design and optimization best practices from Veeam solutions architects’ proven fieldwork. This class offers a blended learning experience through lectures and multiple design scenarios where students work together in groups to pool their knowledge and build the best design. VMCE‑level knowledge is a mandatory prerequisite for this class.

What are the training requirements?

VMCE_v10 requirements: This intermediate course is suitable for experienced system administrators or engineers working with either virtualization technology or servers with an understanding of storage and/or network principles (routing and subnetting). Prior hands-on experience with Veeam products and working knowledge of virtualization with an understanding of storage and/or network principles is suggested.

VMCE_ADO requirements: This intermediate to advanced course requires recent VMCE 9 course attendance. VMCE-level knowledge is a mandatory prerequisite for this class.

What is included in your training?

Your VMCE training includes digital courseware (including automatic updates), extended lab access and one exam voucher code for use at any Pearson VUE center. It also includes lunch and breaks during training time.

Will I receive a voucher for testing at a Pearson VUE center post-training?

Yes, an exam voucher will be provided to every training participant at the conclusion of the training course or shortly after.

Travel and hotel

Where is the closest airport?

McCarran International is the main airport serving Las Vegas and its surrounding areas. It provides the best option for flight times for attendees and is only a short 15‑minute ride to access most hotels in Las Vegas. Click here for more information about McCarran International Airport.

Does Veeam or the ARIA Hotel provide airport transportation or shuttles?

Ground transportation (taxi or shuttle) is available from McCarran International Airport, but is not provided by Veeam. Rideshare services like Lyft and Uber both operate from the airport into Las Vegas — just remember to download the apps in advance of arriving at Veeamon 2020!

Does Veeamon 2020 have a discounted room rate for attendees?

Veeamon 2020 will once again be hosted in the ARIA Resort & Casino. Conference attendees are offered a discounted room rate as part of our block in one of the leading properties in Las Vegas. the block is limited and may sell out, so it is important to book your lodging early through the Passkey booking link. This link closes April 1 at 5 p.m. PT.

How do I book a room in the Veeamon 2020 room block at the host hotel?

Attendees may book their hotel through the Passkey booking link. This link is also available on the Veeamon 2020 Agenda page by clicking on, “Book Your Hotel.”

Can I book multiple rooms through the Passkey system?

Unfortunately, attendees can only book one room at a time through the system.

When does the Veeamon 2020 discounted room rate expire?

Attendees are encouraged to book their lodging as soon as possible to Veeamon 2020. Bookings for the Veeamon 2020 block can be made through this link until April 1 at 5 p.m. PT.

I can’t find a room in the Veeamon 2020 block or the block is sold out. What can I do?

If the Veeamon 2020 hotel block is closed or sold out, please book another hotel nearby the ARIA Resort & Casino. ARIA Resort & Casino is part of the MGM family of properties and the ARIA Express Tram connects nearby hotels that include the Vdara, Bellagio and Park MGM. the closest hotel to the ARIA is the Vdara, which is a less-than-two-minute walk on foot to the ARIA conference

I need help modifying or changing my reservation. Who should I contact?

the ARIA Resort contact center can help with bookings, modifications and cancellations by phone at (866) 359-7757 or (702) 590-7757. Please have your booking confirmation ready when you call.

Do I need a visa to attend Veeamon 2020?

Depending on your country of citizenship or origin, you may require a visa to travel to the United States. Veeam can provide a visa request letter to support your visa application (following your registration), but please research the application process in your country as early as possible. Visa processing times may vary, and it is best to provide ample time to submit your application. for more information, visit the U.S. Department of State’s website to learn more.

How can I obtain a visa request letter to Veeamon 2020?

Please request a visa letter through our automated form during the registration process. in order for your request to be fulfilled, you must register for Veeamon 2020 before submitting your visa letter request. Letters will only be sent if your name and email address match an already registered name and email address.

Event information

When should I arrive?

Those attendees attending VMCE training should plan to arrive the day before their training starts. If you are attending Veeamon 2020 only, then most arrivals will take place in the early afternoon of Monday, May 4 before the opening of the Exhibit Hall and evening welcome reception.

Will transportation be provided to Veeamon 2020?

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the conference center each day. Transportation will only be offered on Wednesday, May 6 for the Veeamon Party. Veeam will arrange shuttles for attendees and guests to Drai’s Las Vegas.

What is the common language spoken at Veeamon 2020? And, do you offer translation services?

the official language of Veeamon 2020 is English. All conference sessions, keynotes and activities will take place in English. Translation services are not offered at the event; however, Veeamon 2020 attracts a global and diverse audience with more than 67 countries present, so it is likely that you will be able to interact with your fellow attendees in your language.

What should I wear?

Most attendees will be in business casual: nice jeans or trousers with polo, blouse or dress shirt or dress with optional sport coat or blazer for meetings or evening outings. Remember to wear layers as the conference center can range from drafty to stuffy, and you want to be comfortable. You will be racking up steps, so remember to pack comfortable footwear options that will keep you going all day long.

Meals

There will be meal options on site for breakfast, lunch, breaks and conference-hosted evening activities. Should you have eating restrictions, allergies or preferences, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. During the registration process, meal requests will be collected. Will there be an Exhibit Hall at Veeamon 2020?

Yes, join us at the Exhibit Hall to engage with more than 50 exhibitors showcasing industry-leading tech innovations. Come for the giveaways, but stay for the exclusive access to our Exhibit Hall sponsors, who will be demonstrating their latest and greatest technologies and how they can help you on your journey to Cloud Data Management. Can I bring a guest?

Yes, evening event guest passes can be purchased during the registration process for $149. Registered evening event guests will ONLY get access to the Veeamon Welcome Reception (May 4), the Expo Hall Happy Hour (May 5) and the Veeamon Party (May 6). No other conference meals, events or sessions are included.

Sessions

Can I pre-register for sessions?

Yes! We encourage all attendees to pre-register for their breakout sessions in advance of arriving at Veeamon 2020 and also to have a backup as certain sessions are very popular. Conference attendees will be notified by email when they can reserve their spots for sessions closer to the event date.

Will there be reserved seats at the general sessions and breakouts?

No, there are only seats reserved in general sessions for very select groups, such as media and analysts, who attend Veeamon in an official capacity. Otherwise, seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will sessions be recorded at Veeamon 2020, and will they be accessible post-event?

Yes, sessions will be posted within a few weeks of the event ending. Registered attendees must have their confirmation number to access post-event materials and sessions.

All sponsors will be sent instructions to redeem their contracted number of complimentary sponsor passes.
