The Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) course is a technical deep-dive that provides extensive information on Veeam solutions.

The VMCE certification is documented proof that an engineer possesses the necessary level of expertise to correctly deploy, configure and administrate Veeam® Availability Suite™ V9. It is a great investment for an IT professional looking to increase productivity, reduce operating costs, propel personal career advancement and achieve industry recognition.

The VMCE exam includes 50 randomized questions from each of the course modules. The exam must be taken at a Pearson VUE local testing facility. The VMCE certification is awarded to scores of 70% or higher.

Veeam Certified Engineer - Advanced: Design & Optimization (VMCE-A: D&O) V1

The Veeam Certified Engineer – Advanced: Design & Optimization V1 (VMCE-A: Design & Optimization V1) is a two-day technical course focused on teaching engineers how to design and optimize the Veeam Availability Suite solution, following Veeam Solutions Architects best practices. This class is designed for professional services consultants and system administrators alike who already attended the VMCE standard 3-day course, and aim for the Veeam Certified Architect title.

The VMCE-A: D&O exam includes 40 randomized questions from each of the course modules. The exam must be taken at a Pearson VUE local testing facility. The VMCE-A: D&O certification is awarded to scores of 70% or higher.

Veeam Certified Engineer Engineer - Advanced: Design & Optimization

Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA)

Engineers who complete both VMCE and VMCE-Advanced: Design & Optimization programs (courses + exams) will be granted with the "Veeam Certified Architect" (VMCA) title by Veeam.

VMCA status doesn’t require to follow another course or pass another exam than the VMCE & VMCE-A: Design & Optimization ones.

Veeam Certified Architect is the highest level of Veeam technical certifications, and will be required for Platinum Propartners depending on geographies as well as for applicants to the Veeam Accredited Service Partner Program (VASP):

Note: In order to maintain their Veeam Certified Architect status, engineers are required to keep current on both VMCE and VMCE-A: D&O certifications, by following the certification upgrade paths provided by Veeam.

Training options

Instructor-led training

The core education offering, instructor-led training (ILT), is delivered by « Veeam Authorized Education Centers » (VMAECs) worldwide. These three-day (VMCE) and two-day (VMCE-A: D&O) courses include information on Veeam Availability Suite features and their interaction with core IT technologies.

Every class includes a lecture and hands-on approach, through labs practice (VMCE) or workshop scenarios (VMCE-A: D&O).

ILT is held on pre-scheduled dates and scheduling is established by the Veeam Authorized Education Center.

Video on demand learning (VODL)*

This course distributes the recorded content from live online courses in 15-minute snippets delivered via a web viewer. Hands-on experience is achieved through the same remote labs as the ILT, however, labs are available 24x7 and executed by each student based on availability. With VODL, engineers have 30 calendar days to complete all video modules, module quizzes and labs.
