451 Research: Veeam expands DR/BC capabilities for Microsoft users

Published: July, 2017

Veeam® is focused on addressing the evolving challenges of disaster recovery and business continuity (DR/BC) that have been changing significantly over the last decade. In part because of the potential offered by the cloud, but also because of the growing complexity of IT environments that now extend outside the corporate firewall. It's clear that Veeam isn't content to stand still and has been busy adding many enterprise-class features to Veeam Availability Suite — for release in 2017.

Veeam is also adding new orchestration and development capabilities that will further expand its flexibility as a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) platform for service providers. DR/BC is an overused term these days. Data protection is only a starting point, and Veeam's aptly named suite of products gives both on-premises development teams and DRaaS providers the tools they need to navigate the DR/BC issues specific to any business environment.
