Based on ESG’s survey research, recoverability is the most commonly cited challenge across the Asia-Pacific region related to protecting virtualized IT environments. When choosing a data backup solution, Asia-Pacific organizations should look for three attributes:

  • Robust protection and recovery related to application consistency, recurring protection processes and instant recovery operations
  • Easy management related to auto-protection, integration, etc
  • Cloud connectivity and cloud usage

Not every vendor provides these capabilities. Notably, Veeam® has evolved beyond offering “backup” alone in an effort to help organizations attain the ultimate outcome: Availability.
