In Veeam Availability Orchestrator (VAO) v3, support for a full recovery orchestration for NetApp ONTAP Snapshots was added. Beyond orchestrating NetApp ONTAP Snapshots, VAO can also orchestrate the recovery of Veeam backups and replicas.

This white paper takes a closer look at the Veeam and NetApp integration inside of VAO v3. While the focus is on NetApp integration, many principles, such as configuration and testing of orchestration plans, hold true for both Veeam backups and replicas in addition to NetApp ONTAP Snapshots.
