Ratmir Timashev – President and CEO

Ratmir Timashev possesses a rare combination of proven business savvy, forward-looking technical knowledge and market vision. As president and CEO of Veeam Software, Ratmir brings to bear more than a decade of entrepreneurial experience building, advising and investing in successful technology companies. In 1997, he founded Aelita Software, provider of award-winning Windows Server systems management software.

In 2004, Aelita was acquired by Quest Software, and after ensuring the successful continuation of Aelita’s products and strategy at Quest, Ratmir founded Veeam Software to provide similar systems management solutions for virtualized server infrastructures.

Ratmir earned a master's degree in Chemical Physics from the Ohio State University in 1995. He continues to share his knowledge and ideas to fuel innovative IT solutions around the world.

 

William H. Largent – Chief Financial Officer

An experienced executive with more than 30 years in operations and leadership roles with growth companies, William Largent is Veeam’s CFO, in charge of financial and operational aspects of the company.

Prior to joining Veeam, he provided advisory and operational assistance to a number of technology companies through his consulting business, and was CEO of Applied Innovation, Inc., a public company previously traded on the NASDAQ – National Market System. Bill also worked with other members of the Veeam executive team at Aelita Software, where he was Chief Operating and Financial Officer. Prior to Aelita, Largent was CFO at Plug Power, where he managed the company’s initial public offering with Goldman, Sachs & Co. as lead underwriter, raising more than $150 million in equity.

His earlier career includes executive positions with Liebert Corporation, Metatec Corporation, and others. He began his career with Touche Ross & Co., now Deloitte & Touche.

George Sidoris – VP, Worldwide Sales

With more than 25 years of software industry sales and management experience, George Sidoris is well qualified to build Veeam’s sales organization and successfully drive revenue growth. Most recently, Sidoris led direct sales and systems integrator programs for the Federal Government sales team at Quest Software. He came to Quest through its 2004 acquisition of Aelita Software, where he worked with both private- and public-sector accounts.

During his tenure at Aelita, Sidoris more than doubled revenue, created and led the public sector sales organization, and was personally instrumental in securing multi-million-dollar transactions. Earlier, Sidoris built and led sales teams at a number of small technology organizations, as well as at Computer Associates International (CA).

Sidoris began his career in information systems operations management with several Cleveland-area companies, giving him a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of IT professionals.

 

Rick Hoffman – VP, Channel and Alliances

Rick Hoffman brings more than 20 years’ experience in information technology sales management to build a strong channel and alliance network for Veeam Software, fueling the company’s drive toward leadership of the virtualization management market. Hoffman comes to Veeam from Quest Software, where he was director of global alliances. In that capacity, he managed Quest’s relationships with Accenture, Avanade, IBM, Dell, Computer Sciences Corp., EDS, HP and other international systems integrators. He joined Quest through its 2004 acquisition of Aelita Software, where he held a similar position.

Having worked with both startup and mature technology companies, Hoffman is well acquainted with introducing and integrating complex information technologies into the business processes of the world’s largest IT service providers. Hoffman’s priorities are customer satisfaction, partner revenue, and channel success – in that order. His years in the business have taught him that approach yields a win-win-win scenario, and that is what he pursues for Veeam Software.

 

Carrie Reber – VP, Worldwide Marketing

Carrie Reber has more than 20 years’ experience marketing business-to-business technology products. At Veeam, her focus is on creating and executing strategies to help the company capitalize on the rapid growth taking place in the virtualization management market. Carrie initiates and manages all lead generation, branding and promotional activity in support of Veeam Software's aggressive and rapid revenue growth.

Prior to Veeam Software, she led product public relations and industry analyst relations for all business units of Quest Software, encompassing more than 100 software products to help IT professionals worldwide manage applications, databases and infrastructure. During her earlier tenure at Aelita Software, the company was ranked in the top 100 of the Inc. 500 list, won numerous awards, and became well known for Windows Server management solutions. Carrie has provided marketing and public relations support to companies including CompuServe, ABB Industrial Systems, Frontstep/Symix, Goal Systems, The Systems Center and Legent Corporation.

 

Doug Hazelman – Director, Global Systems Engineer Group

Doug Hazelman manages the worldwide pre-sales technical team for Veeam Software. He frequently presents on behalf of Veeam at industry conferences, and shares his expertise via his blog, "VeeamMeUp" and other social media outlets. Doug advises Veeam customers and partners on best practices and key considerations as they implement and better manage their virtual server infrastructures.

Doug has spoken on virtualization management topics at VMworld 2008, the Nordic Virtualization Conference, Interop, and other events including regional VMware User Group meetings. He has also appeared on VMworld.com's "Ask the Experts" area. With 15 years' experience in the IT industry, his experience spans areas such as IT infrastructure, Active Directory design, Microsoft Exchange management, Active Directory and Exchange migrations, identity management and help desk management.

Prior to joining Veeam, Doug was an IT infrastructure consultant with Bennett Adelson. Earlier in his career he was the director of Product Management for Migration Solutions at Quest Software. Doug was with Aelita Software in various technical and product management roles for more than five years before it was acquired by Quest Software in 2004.
