nworks UI cannot be displayed, error "Cannot load scripts-main.js"

nworks UI cannot be displayed and the following error appears instead:

"Cannot load scripts/main.js"

The "main.js" script cannot be loaded. This can happen due to a number of reasons. Generally something is preventing the content of the nworks site to be displayed correctly.

Here are the troubleshooting steps to take:

1. Make sure that the script is present in "\Program Files\nworks\nworks Enterprise Manager Configuration\Scripts"

2. Try specifying the path to the script in the browser address line explicitly to make sure the script is available

3. Open the script with a text editor to make sure it is not corrupt

4. If IIS 6 is utilized, then check site's Properties -> Documents -> disable checkbox "Enable Document Footer"
