VMware Cloud Director 10.5 Partial Compatibility Patch
This hotfix is intended for customers who upgraded to VMware Cloud Director 10.5 and found that backup operations were impacted.
Customers who have not yet upgraded to VMware Cloud Director 10.5 are advised to wait for full Cloud Director 10.5 support, which will be available in the next minor release of Veeam Backup & Replication.
Requirements
This hotfix adds limited compatibility with VMware Cloud Director 10.5 for backup and restore functionalities to Veeam Backup & Replication 12.
Before installing this hotfix, please confirm that you are running Veeam Backup & Replication 12 P20230718. You can check the installed build number in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console's Main Menu (≡) under Help > About.
Resolved Issues
- A backup server fails to connect to a server running VMware Cloud Director 10.5 with the error:
This VMware Cloud Director server does not support SDK of the following versions
Known Issues
- Cloud Director CDP failback to a different location fails with the error:
Failed to execute task for VM Id
- Veeam Plug-in for VMware Cloud Director does not support Cloud Director 10.5, even with the compatibility patch installed.
Deployment Information
- Verify that Veeam Backup & Replication is running build 12.0.0.1420 P20230718.
- Ensure no active tasks are occurring.
- Close the Veeam Backup & Replication Console.
- Execute the Hotfix Installer on the Veeam Backup Server.
