Rafael Bennacchio is a Senior Systems Engineer at Veeam Software, based in Brazil. With more than 20 years in data protection and infrastructure, Rafael works closely with customers and partners across the region to design secure, cyber-resilient backup architectures that protect modern workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Prior to joining Veeam, he held enterprise-focused roles at Veritas and Arcserve, where he supported large organizations as a systems engineer and LATAM presales engineer.

Rafael brings deep expertise in enterprise data protection, cyber resilience and ransomware recovery, and backup and disaster recovery strategy, with a strong focus on immutable storage and Zero Trust data protection. His experience also spans Microsoft 365 backup and SaaS data protection, virtualization and modern workload protection, and Kubernetes and container data protection, helping teams build clean recovery processes and align data protection programs with best practices and compliance goals.

As a trusted technical advisor, Rafael regularly leads enablement sessions, workshops, and webinars that help organizations move from traditional backups to modern, cyber resilient data protection.
