Brien Posey is a commercial Scientist-Astronaut candidate who has spent the last several years actively training to fly on a mission to study polar mesospheric clouds from space. In addition to his spaceflight training, Posey remains actively engaged in the world of Information Technology. As a freelance author, Posey has published dozens of IT books and many thousands of articles. Prior to going freelance, Posey was a CIO for a national chain of hospitals and healthcare facilities. He has also served as lead network engineer for the United States Department of Defense at Fort Knox. Prior to that, Posey worked as a network administrator for some of the largest insurance companies in America.
