This Veeam Ready test was performed with storage having a configuration that includes SSD/Flash.  As such, this classification only applies to similar configurations in which the same amount or more SSD drives are used.  The use of non-SSD drives may negatively impact performance.

  • Caching used: Yes
  • Read/write caching: Secondary ARC device acts as a read cache. ZFS uses ARC to cache recently and frequently accessed data. As new data is added to primary ARC the older data is moved to secondary ARC, which can be accessed faster than data off of the HDD array. In this test the 3.84TB SAS SSD was used as secondary ARC.
  • Networking: MTU=9000
  • Multipathing / link aggregation used: No
  • Array deduplication used in testing: No
  • Array compression used in testing: Yes
