Commands or modifications that were necessary to complete verification: For the current verification, there was no need to perform any conversion for the certificates. The server certificate was downloaded in .crt format, and the client certificate was exported with private key, which resulted in a .p12 file. Both were directly imported into Veeam Backup & Replication without any modifications or format changes.

Enterprise Secure Key Manager (ESKM) is Utimaco’s central key management system enabling unified access and management as well as secure storage of all cryptographic keys through one single pane of glass, whether they are utilized on premises or in the cloud.
Enterprise Secure Key Manager is available in four different models. For the current verification, ESKM L1 (vESKM) version 8.54 was used.
vESKM (Virtual Enterprise Secure Key Manager) is a pre-configured and security hardened virtual appliance providing FIPS 140-2 Level 1 Security.
