This Veeam Ready test was performed with storage having a configuration that includes SSD/Flash.  As such, this classification only applies to similar configurations in which the same amount or more SSD drives are used.  The use of non-SSD drives may negatively impact performance.
Important: This S3 target does not support SHA256 hashing. Legacy MD5 Hashing must be enabled by following Veeam KB4806.

Cluster configuration: 8 nodes,  each node configured with an AMD Milan 7713P 64-core CPU and 512GB RAM
Storage configuration:

  • SAS data drives use 20+6 Erasure Encoding for redundancy
  • VSP One Object maintains a replication factor of 3 for all metadata for redundancy

Connection speed: 25 GbE
Additional support: All configurations of Hitachi VSP One Object 3.2 for S3 compatible storage with specifications equivalent or greater than the above.
