General product family overview:

Swarm is object storage software that installs on any mix of x86 server hardware. Swarm virtualizes the underlying infrastructure creating a scalable pool of resources. Swarm includes two web-based UI's: one for administrators to manage the system, data protection policies and tenants (authorization and authentication), and the other for end-users to access, upload, search and share their content.

  •  DataCore recommends the use of 8MB block size to improve performance; achieved at the cost of deduplication/compression ratios being reduced
  •  Improve "Delete" operation performance by using the following 2 parameters in /etc/caringo/cloudgateway/gateway.cfg
    • RecursiveDeleteMaxThreads - 200 ( default - 75 ) 
    • MaxConnections - 500 ( default - 200 )
