- The new features are grouped first by impact, with the restore points viewer and Express exclusions being the most significant new capabilities, followed by enhancements, then fixes last.
- Added support for item exclusions in Express protection policies. When creating or editing a policy, users can exclude specific users, groups (Outlook and OneDrive), and SharePoint sites from backup coverage.
- Added a View Restore Points action on the Restore page for each top-level object (Mailbox, SharePoint Site, OneDrive, Team). Clicking it opens a side panel listing all available restore points for that object, with date filtering and sorted by most recent.
- The Included in backup and Excluded in backup lists in Flex and Express backup policies now display a subtitle showing the email address or site URL beneath each item name, making it easier to distinguish items that share the same display name.
- Removed the Reports.Read.All Microsoft Graph permission from the Flex app registration. This permission is no longer required. Existing customers will see this permission removed upon next reauthorization. Organization size discovery during onboarding now uses an updated API.
- Corrected several UI text inconsistencies in the backup policy create and edit flows across Flex and Express.
- Standardized the appearance of clickable record titles across all table views, and improved hover cursor states on filters, tabs, buttons, and dropdowns throughout the product for a more consistent experience.
- Fixed an issue where the Retention period dropdown was hidden when the Manually create policies after onboarding option was selected, causing retention to silently default to 1 year. The retention selection is now always visible for manual policy creation.
- Fixed an issue where policy object selection (SharePoint sites, mailboxes, Teams) was limited to approximately 10 items. Larger selections can now be made when configuring backup policies.
- Fixed an issue where selecting users from a group in Express Bulk Restore only loaded the first 200 group members, even when the group contained more. All members are now imported.
- Fixed an issue where the consumed license count was calculated incorrectly for Premium licenses, causing a mismatch between the displayed total and the combined count of Express- and Flex-protected users.
- Fixed an issue where backup notifications were not sent as expected due to an incorrect internal flag validation in the notification service.
