Veeam Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privacy UX

Key Takeaways

  • Veeam is a Leader in the first-ever 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privacy UX, positioned based on its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision.
  • We believe the recognition reflects the graph-based data mapping and discovery that came to Veeam through the Securiti AI acquisition.
  • In our view, privacy programs now depend on infrastructure that can find personal data, act on subject rights requests, and prove compliance at the speed of AI.

Privacy UX is barely a year old as a category, and Veeam is already a Leader in it.

Today, Veeam is named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privacy UX, the first Magic Quadrant Gartner has published for this market. Veeam was positioned as a Leader based on its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision.

We believe the inaugural Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privacy UX evaluates how effectively platforms turn privacy obligations into something organizations can actually operate: managing consent and preferences, handling tracker consent, and processing subject rights requests at scale.

What’s even more exciting is what we believe it signals: Privacy has evolved from a policy exercise into an infrastructure challenge, and privacy teams deserve platforms designed around how they actually work. Here’s our perspective on why this matters—and what we’re building next.

Why we believe this matters now

Every privacy program lives or dies on one question: Can you find the data fast enough to act on it?

That question keeps getting harder. Personal data no longer sits in a handful of databases. It’s spread across cloud platforms, SaaS apps, collaboration tools, data lakes, and, increasingly, the pipelines that feed AI. Meanwhile, the obligations keep stacking up: GDPR, CCPA, the EU AI Act, DORA, and a growing list of national and state rules, with fines that can reach 7% of global annual turnover.

In our view, privacy UX is every point where a person meets your privacy program: the cookie banner, the preference center, the access or deletion request. Getting it right means honoring those choices in every system that holds their data, and being able to prove it.

That’s where graph-based mapping changes the math. We don’t just know where personal data sits. We understand how it connects across a customer’s environment: which systems hold it, which identities can reach it, and where it flows next. So requests get resolved in hours, not weeks.

AI raises the stakes even further. You can’t govern what your AI touches if you don’t already know where your sensitive data lives.

What we bring to privacy operations

Veeam’s 2025 acquisition of Securiti AI brought its DSPM, privacy, and governance capabilities together with Veeam’s data resilience platform. Here’s what that looks like for privacy teams today:

  • Graph-based data mapping: The DataAI Command Graph maps relationships across data, identities, systems, and AI. Privacy teams get one connected view of personal data, not a spreadsheet inventory that’s out of date the day it’s finished.
  • Coverage that matches your estate: Connect privacy workflows to the systems where personal data actually lives, across your cloud, SaaS, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Faster subject rights fulfillment: Automate subject rights requests, so a single access or deletion request doesn’t turn into a weeks-long hunt across systems.
  • Consent and preference management at scale: The Consent Agent manages the consent lifecycle, from banner creation and automated testing to continuous monitoring and auto-remediation. It then helps push choices like marketing opt-outs and revoked AI personalization permissions to every downstream system that must honor them.
  • Agentic privacy operations: PrivacyOps agents built on the Veeam DataAI Command Platform take repetitive work off privacy teams’ plates, including generating privacy request forms and running common compliance assessments like DPIAs.

Different workflows, one goal: privacy that’s operational, not just aspirational.

One Data Foundation for Privacy, Security, and AI When you know exactly what personal and sensitive data you hold, where it lives, and who can reach it, that knowledge pays off well beyond the privacy office. It drives data security posture management (DSPM), so security teams can spot overexposed data before it becomes a breach. It sharpens AI governance, so you can see which models and agents can reach regulated data and put guardrails in place with Agent Commander. And it makes recovery smarter, because you can restore your most sensitive data first when an incident hits.

That’s the strategy behind Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI: one platform, the Veeam DataAI Command Platform, where privacy, security, governance, and resilience share the same understanding of your data. We believe this recognition validates that bet.

The Road Ahead

We see this recognition as a starting point. Privacy obligations will keep multiplying, and AI will keep raising the bar for what “provable” means. We’ll keep investing in the data intelligence, automation, and agentic capabilities that help privacy teamsstay ahead rather than playing catch-up.

Curious where your own program stands? The Data & AI Trust Maturity Model is a practical place to start.

To every customer and partner who trusts Veeam with their most sensitive data: thank you. Your feedback shaped what we built, and it’ll shape what comes next.
