Veeam has moved in 2H20 into the #2 position for market share worldwide for the first time in the history of the company:

Here’s some context as to why this is such an achievement for the entire Veeam community.
Since our inception in 2006, Veeam’s focus has always been on its community and what they need; we started with freemium products and then we shipped our first full solution in 2008. Since then, the company has focused on breaking boundaries – #1 virtual backup, leader in Availability, pioneering Cloud Data Management and today, the most trusted provider of Backup solutions that deliver Modern Data Protection. Whatever we do, we want to be the best and we are delivering on that promise. From humble beginnings, we have grown exponentially.
In the In the IDC Semiannual Software Tracker, 2H20, Veeam had the fastest revenue growth in the worldwide Data Replication & Protection market, both sequentially (+21.5%) and YoY (+17.9%) in 2H’20 among the top 5 vendors, all other vendors combined, and overall market average. In 2020 Veeam became the #2 provider worldwide in terms of overall revenue with YoY growth more than 17.5 percentage points above the market average.
And in IDC’s same data, our EMEA team cemented its position as #1 in 2020 in the Data Replication & Protection market in terms of overall revenue growth and market share. Congratulations to our EMEA team!
