Gartner has recently published its 2019 Market Share: All Software Markets, Worldwide research, and with sustained multiyear revenue gains, Veeam has increased in market share to become the 3rd largest provider of backup and recovery software. Veeam grew its revenue 25.9 percent year-over-year (YoY) in a market that Gartner states grew at 2.5 percent, meaning that Veeam’s growth was over 10 times that of the overall market for backup software. Each year, Veeam takes nominations for Veeam Innovation Awards (VIA’s) from partners and customers, in order to highlight some of the great solutions in market that are powered by Veeam software components. This year, we received nearly 50 nominations, which were then vetted by a panel of 18 judges. Read more

It was announced this week that Veeam’s co-founder Ratmir Timashev donated $17M to The Ohio State University, the largest individual or foundation contribution to the College of Arts & Sciences in the school’s history. The donation will support construction of a new music building named the Timashev Family Music Building. It will also support the renovation of Celeste Laboratory of Chemistry and create endowed scholarships for Arts and Sciences students. Read more
