Ransomware has become one of the most significant threats facing midmarket organizations across Asia Pacific. As businesses continue to digitize operations and adopt AI across on-premises, hyperscaler cloud, and SaaS environments, the impact of cyber-incidents is becoming more severe and more expensive to contain. 

IDC’s Global Incident Response Services Survey, 2025, reports that nearly half of midmarket businesses in the region have experienced at least one ransomware or extortion incident in the past 18 months, underscoring the growing frequency of such attacks and the urgent need for a modern, platform-based approach to data resilience that spans every workload, every cloud, and every identity.
