Below is the list of features that will be deprecated in future versions:
- 1 Functionality related to Basic Authentication, which is being deprecated by Microsoft 365:
- Basic authentication for M365 tenants
- Auxiliary backup accounts
- Modern authentication that allows for using legacy auth protocols
- 1 M365 Germany region
- 1 Auxiliary backup applications (from unlimited to a limited number)
- Azure Blob Storage Germany region
- SMB-Based Repositories — This functionality was always experimental, and over time, it has become clear that the jet-based databases we use to store backup data do not function efficiently with SMB-based repositories.
- Support for on-premises Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint
