"Value cannot be null. Parameter name: dnsName” Error when performing Infrastructure scans in Veeam Backup for AWS

Challenge

When performing an infrastructure scan in Veeam Backup for AWS, you receive the following error: 
“Failed to synchronize region 'regionname': Value cannot be null. Parameter name: dnsName”
"Value cannot be null. Parameter name: dnsName”

Cause

Your AWS account supports only EC2-Classic instances. In Veeam Backup for AWS, you can protect only EC2 instances that run in a VPC.

Solution

Please migrate from EC2-Classic to a VPC.
