Release Information for Dell PowerMax Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication

Before installing Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.0.90, ensure that you are running Veeam Backup & Replication 11 P20220302 or newer. To check the version, open the main menu of the Veeam Backup & Replication console and select Help > About.

Dell PowerMax Plug-In v1.0.90 supports integration with the following storage systems:

• Dell PowerMax/VMAX All Flash (PowerMaxOS microcode 5978.711.711 or later 5978 family updates)
• Unisphere for PowerMax 9.2.1.6 or later patched version (10.x is not supported)

The following is a list of known major issues for Dell PowerMax Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication.

• Dell PowerMax Plug-In does not support adding two Unisphere servers with the same array(s) as "local". Doing so will cause issues with discovery and can lead to undesirable results. 
• In large environments, selecting volumes from infrastructure while adding storage to Veeam Backup & Replication might take considerable time. In this case, it is recommended to use wildcards in the volume selection dialog to reduce the number of volumes to be scanned.
• Dell PowerMax Plug-In does not support backing up of failover clusters using Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows.

1. Ensure Veeam Backup & Replication has a valid license.
2. If you're running Veeam Backup & Replication 11a P20220302, download and install the following private fix (required for the plug-in to pass a signature check).
   The fix is not required for Veeam Backup & Replication 11a P20230227 or 12.
3. Download and run the plug-in setup program on the Veeam Backup Server.
