Requirements
Before installing Dell PowerStore Plug-In v2.1.9, ensure that you are running Veeam Backup & Replication 12.3.0.310 or higher. To check the version, open the Main Menu (≡) in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console and select Help > About.
Dell PowerStore Plug-In v2.1.9 supports integration with the following storage systems:
- PowerStore T series (PowerStore OS 3.0 - 5.0)
- PowerStore X series (PowerStore OS 3.0 - 5.0)
Note: Support for PowerStoreOS 4.3 starts with 4.3.1. For more information, review Dell PowerStore Release Notes (Issue ID: PSSLDF-47625).
What's New
- Updated setup package to enable installation on Veeam Backup & Replication v13.0.1.
Please also install this version if you are unable to remove the earlier plug-in version after upgrading to v13.0.1.
Known Issues
The following is a list of known major issues for Dell PowerStore Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication.
- The Dell PowerStore Plug-In does not support Metro Node replication.
- Volume Groups snapshot transfer may fail if the time between the Dell PowerStore arrays is not synchronized (time mismatch is more than 10 seconds). Time must also be synchronized with the Veeam Backup Server for the integration to work correctly.
- If the volume is part of a replication policy, snapshots created by Veeam Backup & Replication jobs that do not use Native Asynchronous Replication as a secondary target are transferred to a target array according to the storage schedule. However, these snapshots are not automatically deleted from the target array and should be manually cleaned up. This behavior does not apply to auxiliary snapshots created during backup jobs; they are automatically deleted from the target 24 hours after creation, provided they are replicated.
- Replication jobs using Dell PowerStore Native Asynchronous Replication may intermittently fail with the error:
Failed to create multihome info for VM
This occurs because the array reports the replication sync as complete before the replication process has actually started, causing Veeam Backup & Replication to proceed while the array is still initializing the transfer.

For Windows-based deployments of Veeam Backup & Replication that were upgraded from version 12 to version 13.0.1, the following error may occur:
Error calling ClusterGet: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
A hotfix is available from Veeam Support to address this issue. Please create a support case for assistance.

This also enables performing backup from secondary storage arrays to avoid any load from backup activities on the primary storage array.
