This article explains a method relevant only to Veeam Backup & Replication 13.0.1.1071 and older.
Starting in Veeam Backup & Replication 13.0.1.2067, the backup server authorization now communicates directly with Veeam Data Cloud (VDC), removing the need to be a License Admin. Now, any user with appropriate VDC permissions can register a server.
To allow for the Veeam Data Cloud Vault registration wizard to display storage accounts associated with a Support ID other than the one associated with the installed Veeam Backup & Replication license, create the following registry value before adding the VDC Vault storage.
Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication
Value Name: VaultServerRegistrationCustomSupportID
Value Type: String Value (REG_SZ)
Value Data: ### (Veeam Cloud Service Provider's Support ID)
Specify the Support ID associated with the Service Provider's VDC Vault storage account for the value data.
