Article Applicability

This article lists the specific Linux distributions and versions that will no longer be supported starting with Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Agent for Linux version 13. These lists are intended for customers currently running Veeam Backup & Replication 12.3 and Veeam Agent for Linux 6.3 who are planning to upgrade to version 13, and want to quickly identify which distributions and versions have been dropped from support in 13 compared to 12.3.

This article does not list what is supported; it only lists what is no longer supported starting with version 13 of Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Agent for Linux.

Support Statement

Veeam Backup & Replication Distro Support Changes

Starting with Veeam Backup & Replication 13, the following Linux distributions and versions will no longer be supported for Veeam Infrastructure roles. (This list shows what has changed since Veeam Backup & Replication 12.3.)

  • AlmaLinux (all versions)
  • CentOS (all versions)
  • Debian | 10
  • RHEL | 7 | 8.0 | 8.1 | 8.3 | 8.4 | 8.5
  • Rocky Linux | 9.0 | 9.1 | 9.2 | 9.3
    • With the exception of Rocky 9.2 which is included with the Veeam Infrastructure Appliance (JeOS).
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) | 12 SP4 | 15 SP1 | 15 SP2
  • Ubuntu | 18.04

Veeam Agent for Linux Distro Support Changes

Starting with Veeam Backup & Replication 13, the following Linux distributions and versions will no longer be supported for Veeam Agent for Linux deployment. (This list shows what has changed since Veeam Agent for Linux 6.3.)

  • Debian | 10
  • All non-LTS versions of Ubuntu (i.e., 22.10 | 23.04 | 23.10 | 24.10 | 25.04)
  • RHEL | 6 | 7 | 8.0 | 8.1 | 8.3
  • CentOS | 7
  • Oracle Linux | 6
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) | 12 SP4 | 15 SP1 | 15 SP2
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP Applications | 12 SP4 | 15 SP1 | 15 SP2
  • Fedora (all versions)
  • openSUSE (all versions)
    Leap and Tumbleweed
  • Rocky Linux | 9.3
  • AlmaLinux | 9.3
