If the Health Check for a Tenant's backup is running, it cannot be stopped by the Backup Job for the same backup. The Tenant's Backup Job will wait until the Health Check completes and may fail if the Health Check does not complete in a timely manner.
The expected behavior, as documented in the Veeam Backup & Replication User Guide:
The health check runs only after all jobs and operations that process a backup are completed (for example, a backup job, a restore job, synthetic operations with backups and so on). If some of these activities are started, the health check stops.
This issue has been confirmed and will be resolved in a future release of Veeam Backup & Replication.
Until then, the recommended workaround is to reschedule the Health Check so that it does not interfere with the Backup Job.
