How To Enable DDBoost Immutability with Governance Mode

To enable support from Governance mode with Dell Data Domain repositories, review and implement the following:

For Veeam Backup & Replication on Windows

Create the following registry value on the Veeam Backup Server:

Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\
Value Name: DDBoostSkipComplianceModeCheck
Value Type: DWORD (32-Bit) Value
Value Data: 1

For Veeam Software Appliance (Veeam Backup & Replication on Linux)

Add the value to the configuration settings:

Configuration file: /etc/veeam/veeam_backup_and_replication.conf
Section: [root]
Setting: DDBoostSkipComplianceModeCheck = "1"

Enabling this setting will cause the Veeam Security & Compliance Analyzer to display a warning for the entry "Compliance mode should be used for repositories with backup immutability enabled".
