If your Veeam Backup & Replication installation is connected to a Veeam Cloud Service Provider, contact your Service Provider before upgrading to ensure that the intended upgrade will not break compatibility.
A tenant cannot be on a newer version of Veeam Backup & Replication than the Service Provider.
There is no supported upgrade path for products that have reached End of Support.
A new Veeam Backup & Replication server must be created using the latest version of Veeam Backup & Replication.
Exception: If a Veeam Backup & Replication version is listed as a minimum version to upgrade from in a supported version's upgrade guide, that upgrade is supported. This article includes upgrade paths for those exceptions until no supported version of Veeam Backup & Replication supports upgrading from them.
