Requirements
Be sure to review the upgrade checklist section of the User Guide document closely before upgrading, as Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV 3.0 only supports integration with Veeam Backup & Replication version 11a.
You can check your build number under [Appliance Settings] > "Appliance Version" by clicking the gear icon at the top-right corner of the main menu in Veeam Backup & Replication AHV Backup Proxy.
After upgrading, your build number will be 3.0.775
What's New
- Nutanix OS Support: Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV now supports versions 5.5.x up to 6.0.x.
- Instant Recovery: With the new Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV v3, Veeam expands its patented instant recovery functionality to additional hypervisors. You can now instantly recover image-level backups created by ANY Veeam product to a Nutanix AHV VM for instant disaster recovery of any cloud, virtual, or physical workload. This functionality requires Nutanix AHV 6.0 or later.
- AHV Backup Proxy Configuration: Added the ability to restore AHV Backup Proxy configuration from the Web Console.
- Full VM Restore: Streamlined the restore of VMs with Secure Boot enabled to reduce the need for additional user actions.
- AHV Proxy Management: Added feature to rescan backup proxies to identify configuration differences and simplify redeployment.
- AHV Proxy Appliance: OS has been updated to Ubuntu 18.04, and .NET Core was updated to 3.1.
Resolved Issues
- Corrected an issue where retention was not correctly applied for restore points stored on a hardened repository when the backup job had a specific schedule.
