Peter McKay

Co-CEO and President

As Co-CEO and President, and member of the Board of Directors, Peter is responsible for Veeam’s sales, sales operations, marketing, finance and human resources and his charter is to drive the company’s accelerated growth into the enterprise.

His resume is second-to-none; prior to Veeam, Peter held a number of senior leadership roles within VMware's Americas organization. He joined VMware as Vice President Sales, End User Computing, Americas, and from this position, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the Americas, responsible for optimizing the alignment and integration of all go-to-market functions, then to Senior Vice President, Americas Enterprise, and then ultimately to Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas.

Peter joined VMware through the acquisition of Desktone where he was President and CEO from 2010 to October 2013.  Prior to Desktone, Peter was President and CEO of two other successful venture backed companies; Watchfire, a security solutions provider (acquired by IBM in 2007) from 2001 to July 2008 and eCredit (acquired by Internet Capital Group) from 1998 to 2001.  He also served as “Executive-in-Residence” at Insight Venture Partners.


Kate Hutchison

Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Kate Hutchison is responsible for leading Veeam's global marketing organization and continuing to strengthen the company's brand momentum.

Hutchison brings to Veeam more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience as CMO at a variety of software and hardware technology companies, including Riverbed, Polycom, VMware, Citrix and BEA. Most recently, Hutchison was senior vice president and CMO at Riverbed, where she successfully led the company through a repositioning and rebranding initiative that took the company into an approximately 11x larger market overall. While at VMware Hutchison expanded the company's position from a hypervisor vendor to a provider of virtualization solutions to help customers build private and public clouds. At Citrix, Hutchison helped develop the strategy to double the company's revenue to $1 billion in three years and emerge as a leader in application access and delivery. At BEA, she led all aspects of marketing as the company grew rapidly from revenues of $300 million to $1 billion in just three years.

Kate earned a master's degree from San Francisco State University, and a bachelor's degree from Long Island University, Southampton College (now part of SUNY Stony Brook), where she also received the Distinguished Alumni award in 2005.


Jeff Giannetti

Senior Vice President, Americas Sales

Jeff Giannetti is Senior Vice President, Americas Sales for Veeam, where he is responsible for growing the company’s footprint in each market segment, from SMB to enterprise, through partners, alliance relationships and Veeam’s world class solutions.

Prior to Veeam, Jeff was at IBM, where he ran Global Sales for IBM Cloud Object Storage, formerly Cleversafe, Inc., which was acquired by IBM in 2015. Jeff has also held several senior level leadership roles with NetApp, Inc over a nearly 12-year span, where the company saw growth from $1B to over $6B. Jeff has also held sales and sale leadership positions with Sun Microsystems, Ernst & Young and Lotus Development.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Pennsylvania State University.


Olivier Robinne

Senior Vice President, EMEA

Olivier Robinne is Veeam Senior Vice President EMEA. He is responsible for the development of sales and coordination of marketing, operations and services in the EMEA region.

Olivier is a widely respected industry executive with 30+ years of experience in corporate development in the software industry. During his six years at Veeam, he has led the EMEA team toward strong growth, making the region a key element in Veeam’s rapid growth towards its $1 billion goal in annual revenues by 2018.

Prior to joining Veeam, he worked at Dell, first as Strategic Account Sales Director, then as Vice President of Southern Europe, playing a key role in the development of value-added sales. Previously, Olivier was a commercial manager with BMC Software, CA Technologies and Sterling Software.

He is a graduate of Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) in Paris and resides in Paris with his wife and two children.


Shaun McLagan

Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan

Shaun McLagan, Veeam Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, is responsible for leading Veeam’s growth across all markets in the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Shaun is a veteran of the industry with more than 20 years of experience across sales, pre-sales and consulting roles. He is a global leader who has held positions with leading IT companies, including EMC, Oracle and HP in Singapore, Australia and Canada. Most recently, he served as Dell EMC Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan for Data Protection Solutions. Shaun is an EMC veteran of 10+ years and previously led RSA in Australia and New Zealand.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Western Ontario — King’s University College.


Austin Martin

Senior Vice President, HR, Strategy and Operations

Austin Martin, Senior Vice President, HR, Strategy and Operations focuses on developing, attracting, and retaining top-talent and enabling efficient decision making and effective execution. He also serves as the Executive Sponsor of Women in Green, Veeam’s professional development program for talented women in technology.

Austin joined Veeam in July 2016, bringing 15 years of technology strategy, operations and finance experience. Prior to Veeam, he was VMware’s Senior Director of Sales Strategy and Operations for the Americas’ Enterprise salesforce, where he was recognized as Americas sales operations person of the year. He transitioned to VMware from EMC where he led a strategy, analytics, and investments team supporting global channel sales. Earlier, he was a Bain & Company Case Team Leader, working with executives at Fortune 500 and mid-market companies on strategic and operational issues.  Austin started his career working in the technology investment banking groups at Deutsche Bank and First Albany Capital.

Austin earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the Honor Society of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. He earned a master of business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, MA.


Jim Tedesco

SVP, Worldwide Renewals and Customer Success

Jim Tedesco is an industry veteran with more than two decades of sales, operations and leadership experience. He is responsible for customer support offerings for the company’s end user customer base, customer satisfaction and continuing to grow the company’s industry-leading Net Promoter Score.

Jim has held numerous senior leadership positions, most recently as Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales and Business Development for a mobility application development software company where he led the worldwide corporate sales efforts across all market segments. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for ScriptLogic, acquired by Quest Software and now Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL), and Senior Vice President Sales for CA (NYSE: CA). He has also held senior management roles, including Vice President North American Sales Operations and Senior Vice President Channel Sales.
