General product family overview:
VAST Data Universal Storage uses a Disaggregated, Shared-Everything (DASE) storage architecture comprised of VAST protocol servers (CNODES) and highly-available NVMe disk enclosures (DNODES) connected via an NVMe Fabric. The combination of hyperscale flash and SCM (storage class memory) eliminates tiering and allows for ease of capacity scalability in a single global namespace.
Current Veeam Ready test was performed on 1x1 Cluster (DBox model = DF-5630) configuration.

• Does vendor solution support SMB write-through?   Yes. Regardless of whether a client sends a write-through flag or not, the VAST cluster always does a write-through. There is no negotiation involved. This flag is needed for the client side, and for servers that do write caching- we never cache writes in SMB
