Due to NFS implementation specifics on certain NFS storage, backup job may fail with "rollback file deletion errors". Despite the error status, backups and replicas are created successfully, and required VRB files are deleted properly according to the retention policy. If you are experiencing this issue, here is the registry mod enabling jobs to ignore this error.
Certain NFS implementations specifics on certain NFS storage can generate noisy errors, when there isn't a problem. In this case, backups and replicas are crated successfully, and the retention policy is being followed correctly, but a "rollback file deletion error" is generated regardless.
Click the Start button
Click Run,
Type REGEDIT. Click OK.
Go to the following path in the registry: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VeeaM\Veeam Backup and Replication”
Right-click the key "Veeam Backup and Replication" and select "New" --> "DWORD (32-bit) Value". Type in "IgnoreFileDeletionErrorInRetention" as the name.
Right-click the DWORD "IgnoreFileDeletionErrorInRetention", select "Modify", and set the Value Data to 1.
Click OK.
Exit Registry Editor.
This only occurs in B&R v6. Earlier versions do not apply.
