Click to Tweet: Veeam Expands Cloud Provider Program
Veeam® Software, innovative provider of backup, replication and virtualization management solutions for VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, today announced that the company has expanded its Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) program with the addition of Veeam Backup Management Suite™.
The Veeam Cloud Provider program currently has more than 1 500 cloud providers across EMEA. The VCP program offers flexible monthly and perpetual licensing to meet the needs of hosting, managed service and cloud providers. Monthly rental by the virtual machine (VM) or perpetual licenses are available from official VCP’s aggregators, while perpetual licenses are available from thousands of Veeam resellers around the world.
According to Jie Zhang, Research Director at Gartner, “Together, cloud archiving and backup services had estimated revenue of $842.1 million in 2011. Annual growth rates exceeding 40% are projected for 2012 and 2013; the market will continue strong growth beyond 2013 into 2016. The five-year CAGR is forecast at 30.6%, with the total market size reaching $3.2 billion by 2016.

Zhang goes on to write, “Many established storage vendors have already started delivering their on-premises archiving or backup software via the cloud. Many more new entrants — pure cloud services providers — are seizing this opportunity as well. These smaller vendors are competing aggressively by taking advantage of the nascent state of the market. Their agility in adapting to new and changing business requirements puts them in a good position to compete.
Veeam Backup Management Suite combines Veeam Backup & Replication™ and Veeam ONE™ in a single, integrated data protection and infrastructure management solution for VMware and Hyper-V that is powerful, easy-to-use and affordable. The suite is available now to VCPs as a per VM monthly rental and as a perpetual license in blocks of 10 VMs.
