Can I remove a mailbox from the backup if it is no longer needed, and apply its license counter to another mailbox?
Yes, after a month since the last backup of the old mailbox. Veeam also counts managed mailboxes with at least one restore point created in the past 31 days. If you do not archive a mailbox for 31 days, its license will be revoked and can be applied to another mailbox.
