With the release of Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3, some of the big news is a serious advancement in the storage integrations, including the addition of Lenovo storage. WOW! This is big. There is a substantial amount of new functionality in Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3. We are happy to report some big news that has been kept rather secret for a while with this update since this was first demoed at VeeamON 2017. Update 3 brings agent management to Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 NOW and Veeam ONE 9.5 Update 3; something planned for v10 initially. Support for VMware Cloud on AWS is also included in Update 3, which was previously announced at VMworld. Additionally, the storage integration with IBM Spectrum Virtualize and Lenovo Storage V Series announced last year is included as well.

Veeam software integration with HPE storage solutions lets you create application-consistent backups from HPE storage snapshots for fast and efficient data protection. For long-term external storage, HPE StoreOnce provides deduplication for efficient storage utilization and fault isolation for data.

Last year we announced Veeam Managed Backup Portal, exclusive to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This Azure-based solution was well received among Veeam’s managed service provider (MSP) and value-added reseller (VAR) communities. This enabled the delivery of remote monitoring and management to their customers' Veeam Backup & Replication environments. Veeam Managed Backup Portal came with zero connectivity requirements between the MSP and their customer, and minus having an Azure subscription, there were minimal upfront costs, making these new recurring revenue streams even more profitable.
