Being honored this week by CRN with two 2020 Tech Innovator Awards is a testament not only to Veeam’s strong history of innovation, but those relationships as well. Veeam was recognized for Veeam Availability Suite v10, which claimed top honors in the Cloud Data Protection/Disaster Recovery category, and for Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 v4 in the Security/Data category. Listening to our customers and partners has always been a top priority of our product development, and to be recognized this way validates what we are doing.
First introduced in 2008 as Veeam Backup & Replication, the latest version of Veeam Availability Suite, Veeam’s flagship backup solution, was released in February of this year with more than 150 new features and enhancements, including modern NAS support, Multi-VM Instant Recovery and heightened ransomware protection. As we prepare to launch v11 in the next few months, we’ll add even more features and functionality that our customers and partners have been asking for such as Continuous Data Protection, greater ransomware prevention, instant recovery and cost‑optimized, long‑term cloud storage options.
Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 is currently the fastest-growing product at Veeam. With today’s employees continuing to work remotely, data protection and availability are more important now than ever before. As we prepare to GA our next v5 release, we’ll provide an innovative approach to native backup and recovery for Microsoft Teams. This approach will make it easier than ever for users to quickly find and restore Teams data. Look for this exciting release in the next several weeks!
