Save backup storage using Veeam Backup & Replication BitLooker

When you need to back up large amounts of data, you try to use up as little space as possible in order to minimize backup storage costs. During backup analysis using Veeam ONE, for example, you might notice that virtual machine (VM) backups are much larger than the actual data. This phenomenon is common with file servers or with systems in which lots of data are deleted or held only for a short time.

Another requirement, however, might be not having to back up certain data or directories in the first place, since those data are only needed temporarily and there’s no need to hold them in backup storage.
