Veeam is exhibiting at IBM Think 2018 this week, showing our joint IBM Cloud offerings, IBM storage integrated solutions and new managed services by IBM Business Resiliency Services. As Think opens today, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the large contribution strong alliance relationships like IBM play in Veeam’s continued, unprecedented growth. This kind of success only comes from an ecosystem that works together. One that is built on a shared focus on customer needs, from the SMB market all the way up to the largest enterprise.
IBM is an excellent partner for Veeam, our ecosystem, and our enterprise customers. In fact, IBM solutions are interwoven with the Veeam Availability Platform and touches many components on-premises, in the cloud, and through services.
At this year’s IBM Think event, Veeam will not only highlight our current IBM solutions — Veeam Availability Suite on IBM Cloud and Veeam storage snapshot integration with IBM storage systems — we will also unveil new solutions that broaden the reach of Veeam and IBM. This includes new Veeam Availability solutions on IBM Cloud for a comprehensive management and protection approach, as well as the addition of Veeam to IBM Business Resiliency offerings for a full, end-to-end managed service.
Our Veeam solutions on IBM Cloud, for IBM storage systems, and in partnership with IBM Business Resiliency Services, deliver higher value for IBM customers’ investment, both in the data center and across the cloud. Both companies are very much leaders in their respective markets. In fact, Forbes recently highlighted IBM Cloud business growth, outlining how IBM Cloud now matches the cloud market’s other heavyweights, and we are excited to be a part of that momentum.
What’s new from Veeam at IBM Think
IBM Cloud offers the flexibility and control of dedicated, bare metal server in the cloud, something you don’t see often from other cloud market leaders. Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows and Veeam Agent for Linux on IBM Cloud, brings efficient Veeam backup and recovery to IBM Cloud bare metal servers and physical on-premises servers.
IBM Cloud is adding the Veeam Agents to the IBM Cloud provisioning portal, making it easy to deploy with new servers and ensuring full life-cycle protection. This helps the IBM Cloud offer a comprehensive approach to Availability when customers’ needs require bare metal and physical hardware for more custom, complex hardware configurations, when regulatory compliance requires it, and for servers and workstations that cannot be virtualized.
More big news from the show is Veeam has now joined the IBM Business Resiliency Services family. Veeam solutions are now part of the portfolio of managed services offered by IBM Business Resiliency Services to expand data protection and recovery options for IBM customers’ on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
Veeam could not ask for a better partner for delivering end-to-end managed services to enterprise customers. Risk and threats are always changing and aren’t going away, and having IBM services on board for on-premises and cloud backup and recovery puts experts in your corner. This is critical for enterprises today. When it comes to ensuring that data is available, having proven IBM expertise involved from the start will ensure that expectations are met from architecture, implementation and ongoing use of a Veeam solution.
IBM + Veeam = Better Together
We believe Veeam is changing the game, and IBM is an excellent Veeam alliance that helps us do it. Very few companies in the history of the world have been entrusted by enterprises worldwide, for so long. Together we deliver our customers Veeam Availability across the data center and the cloud so they can concentrate on growing business while we protect it.
At Veeam, we have ambitious goals for 2018. Goals that our Co-CEO, Peter McKay, has clearly articulated. We plan on surpassing $1 billion in 2018. On the eve of IBM Think, it is clear that IBM and Veeam are Better Together. So join us in Last Vegas and start thinking about Veeam Availability with IBM.
