Our growth trajectory continues – 400,000 satisfied customers and counting

Providing our customers with the industry’s best data protection platform is at the heart of everything we do, and we are immensely proud of the continuous feedback we get from across the globe; whether from our strong customer satisfaction scores, or from the reviews we receive on Gartner Peer Insights or Trust Radius, customer feedback unanimously tells us that we are delivering on their data protection and data management needs.

Since 2006, Veeam has had a clear vision and strategy — to be the most trusted provider of Backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management. This vision has evolved over the years. We’ve innovated and adapted to market conditions, but our relentless pursuit of always putting the customer first has helped us reach an amazing milestone; Veeam has surpassed the 400,000-customer mark. To amass this many customers, including brands such as Make-A-Wish, Cort, First Commonwealth Bank, Arizona Department of Education, Alpha Bank, Rabobank, Royal Dutch Shell and ENGIE, is a significant achievement and one that I, and every Veeam employee, is proud of.

It’s no small feat amassing this many customers, across multiple market segments in varying countries, and ensuring the highest customer satisfaction scores year in, year out. Our team — not just Veeamers, but our ecosystem of partners — continues to meet our users’ needs and help them drive successful data protection and data management in their organizations. I want to thank everyone for their commitment and thank our partners and customers for their ongoing support and business.

However, while I am immensely proud of this achievement, I am also excited about the most recent IDC Semi-Annual Software Tracker for Data Replication & Protection 1H’201 which showed Veeam has delivered the fastest revenue growth year-over-year in 1H’20, among the top five vendors, the combined revenues of non-top five vendors and overall market average. This is a huge achievement for all at Veeam, especially as the data below covers one of the most challenging six months our industry — in fact, any industry — has faced for a generation.

As we near the end of what has been a unique year for everyone, I can honestly say that the best is yet to come. As we recently discussed at Veeam Live with our “sneak peeks,” we have a number of exciting new innovations on the horizon which will add more depth and strength to our solutions:

  • Veeam’s NEW solution for Kubernetes data protection, based on Veeam’s recent acquisition of Kasten.
  • NEW Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform: Google-native backup and recovery, delivering cost-effective, secure cloud mobility to complement Veeam’s existing cloud-native offerings for AWS and Azure IaaS workloads.
  • 11 new features of Veeam Backup & Replication v11, including Continuous Data Protection (CDP), expanded Instant Recovery options to cover databases and NAS devices, object storage integration enhancements which now support archive-to-cloud and secure Linux repository, which helps customers achieve data immutability without storage lock-in.

This is just a taste of what’s to come from Veeam throughout the next year or so, but for now, I want to celebrate and thank our 400,000 customers for their support, and also congratulate Veeam employees and our ecosystem of partners for helping deliver the rich, seamless experience our users have come to expect.
