It was announced this week that Veeam’s co-founder Ratmir Timashev donated $17M to The Ohio State University, the largest individual or foundation contribution to the College of Arts & Sciences in the school’s history. The donation will support construction of a new music building named the Timashev Family Music Building. It will also support the renovation of Celeste Laboratory of Chemistry and create endowed scholarships for Arts and Sciences students.
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year and consider what has been a tremendous period for Veeam. During the last 12 months, Veeam has continued to focus on the customer, executing its vision to be the most trusted provider of backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management. It’s not an easy task to continue innovating and delivering success to more than 375K customers, but that’s what we have been doing.
Barely six weeks into the year, the entire planet became gripped with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The virus has become the prevalent focus of concern for governments across the world, all putting aside other policies and differences to battle the situation and protect communities. It’s in times like these that we see the resilience of people coming together to fight a common enemy; we have seen unity and camaraderie in all walks of life as peoples’ health and safety must be put ahead of anything else.
