VeeamON 2022 is almost here, and I have to tell you, I’m absolutely thrilled to see you all at the conference. We’re going to have an amazing time both in Las Vegas and from anywhere around the world if you’re joining us virtually. Both experiences ensure you’re in for some amazing content and speakers and a lot of fun. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out VeeamON’s full agenda, it’s loaded with demos, labs and experts all focused on helping you modernize your data protection.
I’ll be there too, so save some room on that agenda to say hello. You can catch me on the floor in between sessions, but I’ll also be leading my own VeeamON presentations. Here’s three that I’m especially excited for:
Veeam Backup & Replication v12: What’s new and introduction: This session will overview all the new capabilities of Veeam Backup & Replication v12 and give a nice summary of what you can expect in new V12 ahead of other sessions that will go into more detail.
Veeam Ransomware Best Practices for Secure Backup & Recovery: Protect yourself against cyberthreats with best practices such as immutability, the 3-2-1-1-0 Rule, instant recovery at scale and more.
Break the Bias: I can’t write a blog and not give a shoutout to this important session with our CEO Anand Eswaran and the fantastic folks at Women in Green. This session will share lots of great insights into how Veeam is advancing a diverse culture of inclusion and belonging.
And the best part is that anyone who registers for in person or virtual can take part in these sessions! So I’ll be seeing you all at these exciting sessions.
If you’ve already registered, I hope you’re as excited as I am for VeeamON, and if you haven’t registered yet, I hope you’ll decide to join us. So, what specific details should you expect and how should you plan for VeeamON?
The first thing we should address is how we’re approaching health concerns during the conference. In short, masks are recommended, but not required. We’ll even help out by offering disposable masks for anyone who wants them. And if anybody feels unwell during the event, we ask that they stay in their room. And if you’d prefer to stay home, now’s a great time to remind you that you can attend VeeamON 2022 for FREE virtually!
The virtual experience for VeeamON gives you access to all the amazing content we’ll have on site too, so wherever you’re watching from, you won’t miss out on all things Veeam. And you’ll even have plenty of networking opportunities through the virtual venue, as there are rooms set up to discuss all the big topics at the event and you can even send direct messages to other attendees. You have to check it out! So don’t be shy and be sure to make your profile visible so you can share the experience with others.
For those attending in person though, remember to book your hotel room and plan for transportation to and from the airport. I think it’s best to have some rideshare apps downloaded on your phone before you travel.
So how about when you make it to VeeamON? My first suggestion is Tech Town. Here, you can attend Hands-on Labs to take Veeam’s top solutions for a test drive, but the big player in Tech Town is LabWarz. In LabWarz, you can compete with others in a Veeam obstacle course for a chance to win $10,000. And for those joining virtually, you also can take part in virtual LabWarz that launches next week. Good luck!
And if you’re going to be in Las Vegas like me, be sure to say hi and grab a picture with my friend Epi in the Paws and Relax Park. It’s a great place to hang out and relax during the event and it’s also a place to learn about a great cause with Michael’s Angel Paws, so don’t miss out on seeing the dogs.

Also did I mention we have a pretty sweet guest keynote speaker this year too? Because you definitely don’t want to miss that, regardless of where you’re attending. Chris Gardner, the inspiration behind The Pursuit of Happiness, will be speaking on Tuesday and you can only see him speak live during the event, so you don’t want to miss this!
Chris isn’t our only awesome guest, as we’ll also have Katie Linendoll as our on-site host for the event. She’s already told me she can’t wait to be a part of VeeamON.
